RAPPORT BUILDING for COMMUNITY POLICING

The primary focus of this course will be to provide Law Enforcement Officers with a basic understanding of Rapport Building techniques, as they apply to Community Policing.

COURSE GOALS:

* Introduce a method that will secure immediate likeability with any person or audience.

* Introduce participants to the mechanics of Body Language interpretations.

* Introduce participants to the mechanics of Proxemics to aid in spacing and positioning for all agendas.

* Introduce visual, vocal, and physical expressions that secure positive responses.

* Introduce presentation skills for individual and group audiences.

* Offer techniques that enhance relationships.

* Introduce a blueprint for presenting and closing any agenda.

LENGTH OF CLASS: 8 hours

CUES & CLUES TO NON- VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS

The primary focus of this course will be to provide Law Enforcement Officers with a basic understanding of universally accepted body language interpretations as they apply to daily police work.

COURSE GOALS:

* Introduce participants to the mechanics of Body Language interpretations.

* Introduce visual and video scenarios that enhance the decision making process.

* Offer techniques with which to recognize concealed carry.

* Offer methods with which to read people who are in a state of “Crisis”.

* Provide participants with resources to enhance and supplement knowledge of body language.

LENGTH OF CLASS: 8 hours

MEMORY & LISTENING SKILLS

The primary focus of the course will be to provide Law Enforcement personnel with a basic ability to intake names, numbers, and facts in large volume, and recall them in sequential and random order. This course also provides the ability to listen and recall relevant information.

COURSE GOALS:

* Provide participants with the ability to remember names better.

* Introduce the audience to the mnemonic techniques of Pairing, Linking, Chunking, Loci, Pegs, and the Major Mnemonic System.

* Introduce audience to Active Listening Techniques.

* Conduct Listening Skills exercises.

* Provide participants with the ability to productively intake, store, and recall verbal scenarios.

LENGTH OF CLASS: 8 hours

MENTAL ILLNESS & AUTISM CRISIS AWARENESS SKILLS

The primary focus of the course will be to provide Law Enforcement Officers and Civilians employed by Law Enforcement Agencies with a basic understanding of Mental Illness & Autism, and the knowledge and approach to resolving crisis situations.

Course Goals:

* Introduce audience to the signs and symptoms of mental illness.

* Identify the impact mental illness has on family members.

* Provide audio/visual testimonials from people with mental illness.

* Introduce fundamental tools to gain compliance from the people with mental illness.

* Provide resources to better assist in being a solution.

* Quiz audience to measure basic knowledge of autism.

* Introduce audience to basic information about autism.

* Provide participants with the tools to defuse autism meltdowns.

* LENGTH OF CLASS: 8 hours

FRONT DESK CUSTOMER SERVICE, CRISES, SECURITY & CONCEALED CARRY

The primary focus of the course will be to provide Law Enforcement Front Desk and Clerical personnel (civilians) with a basic understanding of public customer service, as well as the ability to read body language, build rapport, conduct threat assessment, and handle crises.

COURSE GOALS:

* Introduce participants to the principals of customer service.

* Introduce visual and video scenarios to enhance the understanding of service and perception.

* Offer methods with which to read people who are in a state of “Crisis”.

* Offer techniques with which to recognize concealed carry.

* Provide participants with Do’s and Don’ts for crisis situations.

* LENGTH OF CLASS: 4 hours – 2 classes per day

PRESENTATION SKILLS FOR CHIEFS, SHERIFFS, AND DEPUTIES

The primary focus of the course will be to provide Chiefs, Sheriffs, and Deputies, with the tools to give a dynamic and successful presentation. This executive driven class will result in confidence, vision, and productivity.

COURSE GOALS:

* Provide tips for the preparation of a successful presentation.

* Introduce successful methods of beginning a presentation.

* Introduce universally accepted interpretations of body language.

* Offer techniques to maximize the voice and body language.

* Offer techniques to forensically read the audience.

* Introduce learning techniques that reach the entire audience.

* Provide presentation techniques that secure positive results.

* Offer ways to handle questions with skill and poise.

* Provide critiques of video recordings of participant speeches.
