The primary focus of the course will be to provide Law Enforcement Officers and Civilians employed by Law Enforcement Agencies with a basic understanding of the specialized skills, knowledge and approach to resolving crisis situation.
• Provide participants with pragmatic definitions of common terms associated with crisis communication.
• Outline the various realms in which crisis are common.
• Offer techniques and skills for those who are required to mitigate crisis as part of their employment.
• Provide a cadre of resources for referral of individuals in crisis.
